The house is nestled deep within the lush green forests of Northern California, providing a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Surrounded by tall trees, the retreat house exudes a sense of calm and serenity that immediately washes over anyone who steps foot on its grounds.
Inside, the house is cozy and minimalist, with an open-concept design that seamlessly integrates the living spaces. The living room features a large fireplace, perfect for warming up on chilly evenings, and modular sofa for lounging and having a sitting from any corner. There are plenty of cozy nooks such as a tea nook with a view to the valley and a reading nook faced the patio. The kitchen opens up to the patio and creates a perfect blend of indoor-outdoor living.
The house is the reminiscence of Japan style and we decided to implement several Japan principles of beauty and used a mono palette with simple whit oak and concrete.
We wanted to provide a serene and relaxing environment that allows our clients to disconnect from the stresses of daily life and reconnect with nature.
(The whole interior design project (design+drawings+FF&E) was developed and executed by Nataly Karavay as a Senior Interior Designer at TAD architectural studio)
